Louise, Emma, Ester-marí, Carin, and Liandi come from two different families, yet God has woven their lives together through a shared love for the children of Elandshoek. Louise, with Emma and Ester-marí, lives on a farm in Schoemanskloof, and Carin and her daughter, Liandi, live in Nelspruit. Both families homeschool, love creativity, and felt deeply stirred when they first heard the dream for the Sinani Arts Academy.

Louise knew immediately this was something she wanted to be part of. At the same time, Liandi had already been dreaming about teaching art to children, and when the opportunity came, she stepped forward with joy. Soon the team formed naturally Emma, Ester-marí, and Carin joined in, ready to love and serve.

Their first visits were simple moments of serving food, meeting children, and learning how to be present.

What followed were years of Bible based art lessons, first monthly, then twice a month. The girls led the lessons while Louise and Carin supported with planning, supplies, and encouragement. They watched Elandshoek children grow in confidence and creativity. They were even told by a local school teacher that she could see a clear improvement in the children’s art because of the lessons at Sinani.

Week by week the families built meaningful relationships. They sat beside children absorbed in creating, held little ones on their laps, admired artwork, prayed with them, and shared God’s love in every quiet moment. They mention that each visit left them feeling more blessed than when they arrived.

Serving has shaped their families, especially the teenagers, who have grown in leadership and compassion. Their homes now carry stories of Elandshoek filled with laughter and God’s goodness.

As these two families have learned that you cannot outgive God their encouragement to others is simple
