We have on-going needs as it relates to home repairs and property maintenance in our communities, with a focus on keeping our children safe. We also have larger projects that vary from building life centres, installing playgrounds, and putting up netball poles! We welcome a variety of skill levels and experience.
Poverty and health-related issues are a deadly combination when they are in under-resourced locations. Those left untreated or undiagnosed are sadly prone to avoidable long-term problems. If you have medical experience or even a heart to care for the sick, we can use you!
Literacy rates in South Africa have dropped in recent years. We have opportunities for reading assistance and homework help at our life centres, and even special programs like entrepreneurship and skills training.
If you have never visited a vulnerable community, you might be surprised at how life changing it can be. We encourage and welcome teams to come and walk with us in the field. These could be church teams, individuals or families. We are willing to work with you in organising a trip that would work well for both you and our life centres.
Each year we run a number of youth and kids camps, as well as training events for our community leaders. We are always in need of volunteers to help with the practical logistics such as cooking, as well as help out in other areas of need.
Looking for an interesting and challenging internship? Sinani welcomes interns and provides a rich and diverse experience. We are excited to learn from one another, as you bring your own gifts and passions to our team.
Ever thought about volunteering for a few months or longer? As a growing organisation, we have many opportunities, and we welcome those with a heart to serve the poor. Based on your individual situation, we are happy to see how this could work best for you. Join our Sinani Volunteer opps WhatsApp group to stay up to date on weekly volunteer opportunities. How can you prepare?
Here is a great way for you to get involved, if you love to play soccer or netball, or just love supporting it. We partner with ReadySetGO in the “great commission for sports people,” where our coaches are trained to make disciples for Christ in sport and play and our Sinani Premier Soccer League has been an excellent example of this. We started our league in 2019 and expanded in 2022. We welcome any involvement.
Music and art bring hope and helps kids break away from the cycle of poverty, hardship and hopelessness. Our dream is to have an arts academy, where we hope to incorporate as many different aspects of the arts as we can. If you are gifted in this area, we would love for you to join us to participate and share your musical and arts talent with our kids, or you can donate an instrument.
In order to continue to impact South Africa and go deeper and further into desperate communities, we need resources. The heart of Sinani is sustainability; to come alongside communities and to encourage them to be independent. This development model takes time and effort. It also requires funding. We are excited that the Sinani model is recognised throughout South Africa, and we desire to duplicate what has already been proven to work. In order to do that, we need financial partners. Will you partner with us?
