Partner With Us

Whether you first learned about Sinani through a video, an online post, or a Sunday service, we believe that every connection is an invitation to be part of something greater. We see our partners—individuals, families, church groups, and businesses—as essential to the work of bringing hope and restoration to our communities.

If you feel a tug on your heart to serve, we would love to connect with you. We invite you to explore the various ways you can lend your time, talents, or resources to our mission.

Volunteer and Make a Difference

Volunteering is the heartbeat of our work. Whether you have a few hours a week or are looking for a long-term placement, there is a place for you here. We are always looking for people with a heart to serve the vulnerable. To stay updated on our latest needs, join our WhatsApp Volunteer Group or reach out to us at connect@sinani.org.

Opportunities to Serve

Reading & Literacy

Literacy rates in South Africa have dropped in recent years. We have meaningful opportunities for reading assistance and homework help at our life centres. Beyond basic literacy, we also facilitate special programmes focused on entrepreneurship and skills training to equip our youth for the future.

Sports Ministry

We engage in sports as a way to help our teenagers find a sense of belonging. Through sport, we create an environment where they can grow in discipline, teamwork, and confidence.

These moments allow us to build meaningful relationships and stay connected with the teens in a way that feels natural and enjoyable for them. We also partner with J316 Ministries to explore creative and impactful ways of sharing the gospel on the sports field, making each activity not only fun but also purposeful.

Music & Arts

Music and art bring hope and help kids break away from the cycle of poverty, hardship, and hopelessness. Our dream at the Academy is to incorporate as many creative disciplines as possible. If you are gifted in this area, we would love for you to join us to share your musical or arts talent with our children, or you can support us by donating an instrument.

Short Term Teams

We believe in the power of "walking with" our communities. If your church, family, or friend group is interested in seeing our work first-hand, we would love to host you. We focus on creating programs that are mutually beneficial, ensuring that your visit provides genuine value to our Life Centres while offering your group a life-changing experience. Let's talk about how we can partner together for a visit.

Internships

Looking for an interesting and challenging internship? Sinani welcomes interns and provides a rich and diverse experience. We are excited to learn from one another, as you bring your own unique gifts and passions to our team.

Camps

Each year, we run a number of youth and kids camps, as well as training events for our community leaders. We are always in need of volunteers to help with the practical logistics, such as assisting with meal preparation and supporting our event teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Building & Maintenance

We have ongoing needs for home repairs and property maintenance to ensure our Life Centres remain safe, functional, and welcoming for the children.

We also have centres that are not yet fully established and require larger building projects in order to become fully operational Life Centres. These developments are vital in creating safe and consistent spaces where children can gather, grow, and be supported.

We warmly welcome individuals with technical skills, a heart to serve, or the ability to partner with us financially to help maintain and develop these spaces, so that we can continue to focus on what matters most—the children.

Medical

Poverty and health-related challenges often go hand in hand in underdeveloped communities, where untreated or undiagnosed conditions can lead to long-term difficulties and prevent children from reaching important developmental milestones. While we are not a healthcare provider, there is a great need for individuals who can help identify potential concerns and guide people toward the appropriate professionals for further care.

If you have medical experience, or simply a heart to care for those who are unwell, your support can make a meaningful difference in helping us reach those in need and connect them with the right help.

Have a Different Skill to Offer?

As you can see, there are many ways to get involved at Sinani. However, if you have a skill or a passion that isn't mentioned here, we would still love to hear from you. We believe every unique contribution has a place in the work we do. If you have an idea of how you could serve or a professional skill you would like to bring to the table, please get in touch. Let’s explore how we can partner together to bring hope and lasting change to our communities.

Financial Partnership

We believe in the power of sustainability. Our goal is to walk alongside communities until they are empowered to be independent, a process that requires both time and consistent funding. We are grateful for financial partners who enable us to duplicate our proven development model in new areas.

A Day with Sinani

If you come to join us on a visit to a life centre, you might wonder what a typical day looks like. Our life centres are all located in under-developed communities where the roads are often dirt and resources are few.

Your day may begin with a home visit, where we go to meet the caregivers of the children we serve, often a grandmother, aunt, or uncle. We sit and have a chat, with a Siswati speaking member of our team present to translate and bridge the conversation. We may share a Bible verse if God puts one on your heart, or ask if we can pray for them, simply aiming to leave them feeling heard and encouraged.

Back at the centre, the afternoon comes alive as the kids arrive after school. This is your chance to play, whether it is a game of soccer, netball with the girls, or challenging one of our kids to a game of chess (they usually win, so we dare you). You might read stories, help serve a meal, or lead some interactive ice-breaker games.

That is just one example of how a day might look. No two days are ever the same, and it is always beautiful to see how God orchestrates every moment when we simply show up.
