Sinani Arts Academy did it once again!

What a day at the Eisteddfod in August! 65 Sinani children were representing 4 of our centres: Masoyi, Msholozi, Zwelisha, and Elandshoek, with Msholozi taking part for the very first time!

We were also incredibly proud to have our two senior gumboot groups, Zwelisha and Elandshoek, competing on the big stage.

And what a result!

So far that week, the highest marks and the only Prestiges awarded went to our Sinani groups:

🥇 Zwelisha Gumboots: 95%

🥇 Elandshoek Gumboots: 90%

With more than 700 kids taking part that week, we could not be prouder of our children!

These young people spend so many hours at their centres practicing. The opportunities to participate in extra curricular activities are more limited for the children that Sinani cares for, which is why they take their weekly dance classes so seriously and put so much effort into developing their gifts.

It was such a joy to see them being acknowledged and celebrated on the big stage, and even more special to see them come out on top.

We were also delighted to bring a few parents from Msholozi along to watch their children perform, thanks to a few extra seats on the Sinani bus. Seeing their children shine was a special moment for everyone.

We are so proud of every single one of them!
