What a way to finish the season!

Sinani United FC have been crowned the 2025 SAFA Ehlanzeni Forek U17 League champions! This past weekend, our boys secured a decisive 4–0 victory over Bohlabela Sports Academy at Kabokweni Stadium.

The 2025–2026 season came to an exciting close on 9 August 2026, with Sinani United FC from Mbombela taking the title after a fantastic final performance.

The SAFA Ehlanzeni Forek U17 League, jointly run by the South African Football Association (SAFA) Ehlanzeni region and the Forek Institute of Technology, plays an important role in developing young football talent in Mpumalanga. The league provides a pathway for local players to grow and pursue opportunities at a professional level, with more than five players already scouted through the league and now playing in the PSL.

But for us, football is about so much more than winning trophies.

Football gives boys a safe place to go, keeps them off the streets, gives them something they enjoy and are good at, and gives them a sense of accomplishment and belonging.

It is also a place for discipleship. Through football, we have the opportunity to remind these young men that they are not here by accident. They have been created with purpose, and their lives have meaning.

Football can give them a sense of accomplishment, but Jesus gives them a sense of meaning.

We are incredibly proud of our boys, their coaches and everyone who has walked alongside Sinani United FC. What a season! Congratulations, champions!
