“78% of Grade 4 students do not comprehend what they are reading in the English language. Moreover, 29% of children this age are illiterate”, according to information provided by Penreach.
Penreach reading camps address the challenges related to literacy education. Volunteers are trained and supplied with book banks, to make books available to children to aid in developing literacy in our region. Sinani partners with Penreach annually, where our team members are trained at reading camps, and book banks are provided for our life centres.
We have weekly opportunities for volunteers to join us at our centres, to assist our kids with reading. To join our WhatsApp volunteer group, click here.
