It's amazing that there can be different "levels" of vulnerability. Sinani cares for over 1100 orphaned and vulnerable children on a weekly basis and many of the stories are heart breaking. As much as those are hard to hear about, disabled orphaned & vulnerable children are on a different level. Some of the kids at this project have make shift wheel chairs and many don't have a way to go to a special needs school. They have a huge need to be taught basic life skills and simply to be kept safe. Teka Tako invites them in and allows them a safe space to play and stay. It's unfortunate, that the area this centre is located in is already struggling. Kids with physical or mental disabilities are often tossed aside. We visit the children in their homes to see how we can come along side of them in their areas of need. We do what we can to shine light on situations where no one seems to care. The hope in this community is the Teka Takho Disabled Centre. Two beautiful hearts have given their lives to serve the seriously challenged children in this area. Raymond and Prudence work at the centre wtih limited resources on a daily basis. Always welcoming with a smile on their faces. You can come visit unannounced on any day and they will make time for you. We hope to help them with much needed resources in the near future but are actively searching for partners to help us to invest in their centre and the kids that go there.
